The Archway Players are struggling this year to put a Christmas production together in their seaside Cornish town. Adam, a member of the troupe since he was a teenager, is distracted by Gwen, his would-be girlfriend. While Gwen, a health care worker who lives with and cares for her father, doesn't always have the time she needs for the production - or Adam. And when the lead actor is attacked and put in hospital, it looks as if the show might not go on - unless new ideas are found fast.
