We all go into the dark : the hunt for Bible John

Francisco first became acquainted with the East End of Glasgow as a child, through his aunt's stories about her first social work job in the city during the early 1990s. Two decades later he moved there to study for his Masters in the mid-2010s. It was around then that Francisco heard the story of Bible John for the first time. He instantly became obsessed with one of the city's most infamous legends. The story launched Francisco's career and now comes a spectacular deep dive into the case of Bible John. Bible John's shadow loomed across Glasgow from the tail end of the 1960s. For a time, it seemed as if the killer's carefully constructed image was everywhere you turned, leering from newspaper front pages or beamed across TV screens. In this book, Francisco delves into how Bible John has morphed across generations and interrogates our collective obsession with 'solving' historic crimes.
