The last gun

Wilson, Peter, 1942-2018
Large Print
Jack Crawford, badly wounded in the final action of the Civil War, returns home to discover that his parents have been massacred, and the family ranch has fallen into the hands of empire-building newcomer Vic Bannon. When Crawford becomes town sheriff, he finds himself in opposition to the ruthless Bannon, with his own brother Clay helping to force the homesteaders and farmers out of the valley. As the threat of range war looms, Crawford must defend the home he now barely recognises, before it disappears forever.
